Kenneth H. Krebs

Ken has been a life-long resident of Alameda County. He grew up in Pleasanton and went to College at California State University Hayward. He was on the Dean's list, wrote for the school newspaper and served in student government. Ken graduated college in 3 years.

Ken attended the University of San Francisco School of Law. The school is ranked among the most prestigious law schools in California. During law school, Ken clerked for the Honorable Frank Shaw, San Francisco Superior Court, who was then presiding over the Mitchell Brothers pornography trials.

After law school, Ken worked for a criminal defense firm in Livermore for 3 years. He thereafter joined his practice with his wife, Leslie R. Karlstrom-Krebs.

Since 1987, Kenneth has devoted his practice primarily to Criminal Defense and Family Law. In terms of criminal defense, Ken has handled virtually every type of criminal case and has served on the Alameda County court-appointed conflict panel, as well as the Federal Defenders conflicts panel. In addition, Ken has argued criminal cases before most of the California Courts of Appeal.

Among Mr. Krebs' many criminal cases, he represented one of the defendants in the U.S. v.Blanco. This case was the largest federal drug conspiracy case ever brought in the Federal Court in California.

In addition, Ken has had two published appellate decisions: People v. Albright and People v.Diaz. The Diaz case served as the authority for the joyriding jury instruction.

Beyond the thousands of cases Mr. Krebs has handled, he has also served as President of the Livermore Rotary Foundation, Livermore Valley Rotary Club, Livermore National Little League, he has served as legal advisor to the Livermore Chamber of Commerce, and he is currently serving on the Eastern Alameda County Bar Association Board.

Mr. Krebs has handled cases up and down the State of California and is well known and respected by other attorneys and judges for his competency, fairness and integrity.
